In today’s world where rapid access to accurate data is expected, it is surprising how often CAE and materials testing are still operated independently – not well integrated with each other, nor with the PLM system. The consequence of incorrect materials data on the accuracy of simulation results can be profound. This presentation will report the experience of materials information specialist Granta Design, whose Materials Gateway enables ANSYS Workbench users to directly access their company’s single source of validated materials data.
The overall integrated materials information management approach will be described, illustrated by the specific ANSYS deployment example.
